Fräser

Das Fräsen zählt zu den vielseitigsten Fertigungsverfahren (Zerpannungverfahren) in der Metallbearbeitung und wird etwa im Formenbau, im Bereich Automotive, der Medizintechnik und im Maschinenbau angewandt. Ein Schaftfräser besteht aus einem Schaft und einer oder mehreren geometrisch bestimmten Schneiden. Die Werkzeuge werden zur Zerspanung eingesetzt, sie bearbeiten also ein Werkstück, indem sie Material in Form von Spänen abtragen. Fräswerkzeuge können aber nicht nur zum Fräsen, sondern auch zum Eintauchen eingesetzt werden. Dabei taucht der Fräser wie ein Bohrer oder in einer Rampe bzw. Helix-Bewegung in die Materialien ein.

Bei der Metallbearbeitung unterscheidet man Schaftfräser und Trägerwerkzeuge. Trägerwerkzeuge sind Fräsköpfe mit austauschbaren Wendeschneidplatten. Beim Schaftfräser bestehen die Schneiden und der Schaft aus einem Stück. Im Bereich der Schaftfräser bietet Gühring verschiedene Produkte wie Schrupp- und Schlichtfräser sowie Kopierfräser an. Beim Schruppen wird durch eine hohe Zustellbreite und -tiefe viel Material in möglichst kurzer Zeit abgetragen. Das Schlichten schließt oft an das Schruppen an, mit dem Ziel, die Oberflächengüte sowie Maß- und Formgenauigkeit zu verbessern. Der Schlichtfräser trägt dabei meist geringere Materialmengen vom Werkstück ab.

Fräswerkzeuge Übersicht

Walzenfräser:

Walzenfräser, auch Walzenstirnfräser genannt, werden über die Bohrung auf einen Aufnahmedorn gespannt und überwiegend am Umfang zum Fräseinsatz gebracht. Eine besondere Form der Walzenfräser ist die Kategorie der Verzahnungsfräser: Damit lassen sich Verzahnungen aller Art herstellen.

Nutfräser:

Mit einem Nutfräser werden Nuten und Aussparungen in ein Werkstück eingebracht. Über Nuten können Bauteile miteinander verbunden werden.

Radiusfräser:

Radiusfräser kommen beim Kopierfräsen zum Einsatz. Mit diesen Werkzeugen lassen sich komplexe Formen bearbeiten.

Planfräser:

Planfräser dienen zum Fräsen ebener Oberflächen, meist mit einem Einstellwinkel von 45°.

Gewindefräser:

Mit Gewindefräsern werden maßhaltige Innen- und Außengewinde hergestellt.

Senkfräser:

Diese kegelförmigen Fräser ermöglichen die Herstellung von Senkungen, zum Beispiel für Schraubenköpfe mit unterschiedlichen Winkeln.

Fasenfräser:

Mit einem Fasenfräser können Kanten an Werkstücken gebrochen werden.
